Mary Alba has been a member of the insurance industry for over 14 years.
She has successfully sold insurance and investments for New York Life, John Hancock Financial Network and MassMutual Financial Group. Her career path has taken her from successful agent to recruiter and sales manager positions.
Ms. Alba attributes much of her early success as a Career Agent to attending ConsulTel’s Appointment Setting Mastery as a rookie at New York Life. In just
2 years, she went from an “inexperienced recruit” to a Million Dollar Round Table producer. In less than 3 years, she was promoted to Sales Manager and has been awarded by GAMA International for her production in 2009 and 2010.
Ms. Alba has always approached the demands and responsibilities of being a sales manager with a structured approach. Her detailed format was the basis for the development of ConsulTel’s Being a Master Phone Coach program. As a logical follow up to the Appointment Setting Mastery program for producers, Ms. Alba provides managers with a sensible curriculum that is tailored to their culture and management style. The program is designed to get all new recruits off to a fast start in their critical initial 90 days. In addition, Ms. Alba provides on-going support and coaching to sales managers to help them keep their producers focused on the main stumbling block for many financial advisers – having enough folks to call and enough appointments with those people.
Ms. Alba lives in Rhode Island with her husband, Julio, their daughters, Ashton and Elizabeth and 2 German shepherds. She is an avid equestrian and enjoys DIY home improvements and cooking.
